Former Test opener Brendon Kuruppu has been appointed team manager for Sri Lanka's tour to Pakistan in October and November.
The 42-year-old will take over on a temporary basis from Ajit Jayasekera, who had requested a break to spend time with his family after a four-year spell in charge.
"Brendon Kuruppu has been appointed on an interim basis and his name has been sent to the sports ministry for ratification," Sri Lanka Cricket chief executive Duleep Mendis told Reuters on Saturday.
