Rs 90.5 million allocated for construction of PSQCA offices

The government through Ministry of Science and Technology has allocated funds of Rs 90.5 million for the construction of offices/laboratories of Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority (PSQCA) at Karachi.
The signing ceremony of consultancy agreement between the PSQCA and the NESPAK, was held on Saturday at NESPAK office, Karachi.
PSQCA director-general Dr M.A. Damani and NESPAK vice-president Asad I.A. Khan signed the agreement.
The project is scheduled to be completed by 2006. On completion, PSQCA will be able to accommodate its scattered offices and laboratories at one place.
The PSQCA, among other things, is also engaged in providing guidance to industries in order to face the WTO challenges.-PR
