The Board of Directors of ORIX Leasing Pakistan Limited announced a record profit of Rs 306 million for the year ended June 30, 2004, against a profit of Rs 226 million in the previous year and a cash dividend of 30 percent (2003: 25 percent).
The company registered another strong year of growth at the lease disbursements amounted to Rs6.5 billion which was 15 percent higher than the previous year. Total assets amount to Rs 13.2 billion. During the financial year 2004, the Company established new branches and offices, thereby expanding its operations to 25 major cities of the Country.
The Company also announced its intention to invest in a leasing company in Kazakhstan. This will be the fifth overseas operation after Oman, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and UAE.-PR
