Zakat beneficiaries' rehabilitation to be monitored

The chairman Islamabad Zakat and Ushr Committee (IZUC) has nominated a six-member District Monitoring Committee for Permanent Rehabilitation.
Amongst these officials, Rizwan Sadiq Khan, chairman IZUC Islamabad, will act as chairman of the committee with its members, including Khalid Rashid, chairman LZC G-7/2-3 Islamabad (for urban area); Haji Maqsood Ali, chairman LZC Sihala W-I (for rural area), Ajmal Bukhari, assistant director, Local Government and Rural Development Department ICT, Liaquat Abbasi magistrate (Saddar) lCT.
Malik Farrukh Nadeem DZO has been nominated as convener of the committee. The committee will carry out random checks of beneficiaries rehabilitated under the scheme and report to the District Zakat and Ushr Committee.
The committee has been assigned to review progress of implementation of the scheme and investigate complaints and recommend remedial measures in this regard.
Review of the position of funds and their disbursement, holding regular meetings of the District Monitoring Committee (DMC) every month and verification of actual amount paid to the beneficiaries also fall in the preview of the committee.
