A major international event in the history of Balochistan's hockey will take place after about a decade when India and Pakistan will meet each other in the second match of eight-Test series at General Musa Polygrass hockey ground here on Monday afternoon.
This would be second match between India and Pakistan being played in Quetta tomorrow.
Earlier they had played a 1-1 drawn match in 1988 at the same ground.
Meanwhile, both the teams flew in here Sunday afternoon from Karachi.
They were given a rousing welcome at the airport by Sports Minister Yunus Changezi, Nazim City District Government Muhammad Raheem Kakar, Nazim Zarghoon Town Abdul Qahar Wadan, Balochistan Hockey Association including General Secretary Qaiser Luni, Member Executive Committee Abdul Rasheed Baloch, an office holders of Balochistan Olympic Association Malik Afzal Awan and hockey lovers.
The welcome ceremony was marked by bands display, Scouts PT show, folk dances.
