The leading textile fair, Heimtextil, has brightened prospects of textile exports to the Russian Federation. This is the first time that the fair, known as Heimtextil Rossija, was held in Moscow from September 22 to 25.
About 18 leading textile exporters from Pakistan attended the fair, which drew huge crowd of buyers from the Federation and the neighbouring Central Asian republics.
The participants said that Pakistan's quality products namely bed linen, towel, and garments were displayed at the fair, which attracted attention of the buyers.
The exporters are hoping for good amount of orders from the Russian buyers.
The success of the Heimtextil fair, which had been hitherto confined to Frankfurt only, has prompted the organisers to hold the show on an annual basis in Moscow.
They have also plans to hold a Heimtextil fair in India next year.
