Boy killed, eight injured in Quetta blast

A 14-year-old boy was killed and eight others injured when a bomb planted on his bicycle exploded here on Tuesday, a police official said.
The bomb went off near a busy bus stand, Capital City Police Officer Pervez Rafi Bhatti told AFP.
Four people who received serious injuries have been admitted to civil hospital, he added.
It was not immediately clear whether the boy wanted to detonate the bomb himself or if the device had been placed on his bicycle without his knowledge, Bhatti said.
"We are trying to determine whether he was a terrorist or a victim of conspiracy by some miscreants, who have been operating in the province for the past few years," he said.
