PAF F-16s fly off to Turkey to participate in exercise

30 Sep, 2004

A contingent of six multi-role F-16s of Pakistan Air Force has reached Turkey to participate in a multi-air forces exercise code named 'Anatolian Eagle.'
According to a PAF press release, the Turkish Air Force accorded a warm welcome to PAF fighting Falcons.
Participation in a multi-national air exercise in Turkey shall be an interesting as well as challenging task for the PAF Falcons.
Besides Pakistan, leading air forces from United States, Germany, Holland, Italy and Turkey are orchestrating air battle scenarios in demanding operational environments.
A fortnight at Turkey would not only shape up training of PAF officers and men, but would also serve as a milestone in strengthening ties between countries participating in the exercise.
The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Kaleem Saadat, shall visit the Turkey Air Base holding exercise 'Anatolian Eagle', and witness the culminating high intensity air operations.
