Former world number one Kim Clijsters eased into the semi-finals of the 170,000-dollar WTA event here on Friday as the Belgian continued her return from a five-month injury absence.
Clijsters, the second seed, brushed aside Bulgarian seventh seed Magdalena Maleeva 6-3, 6-4 and will now face Russia's Elena Bovina for a place in the final.
Top-seeded Russian Elena Dementieva also made the last four with a 7-5, 6-4 win against Denisa Chladkova of the Czech Republic while Italy's Maria Elena.
