Cocoa beans declared for export by shippers at Ivory Coast's main port of Abidjan since the start of the 2003/04 (October-September) season reached 855,477 tonnes by September 26, official data showed on Monday.
That compared with 828,510 tonnes exported last season to September 28, 2003. Total cocoa products exported since October 1, 2003 to September 26 reached 297,227 tonnes, compared with 267,035 tonnes last year at the same period.
Figures for the port of San Pedro were not immediately available. The data showed 8,087 tonnes were shipped between September 20 and 26, with Abidjan-based grinders exporting 7,938 tonnes in bean equivalent.
