Punjab Cabinet in its meeting held with Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, in the chair, has decided that provincial government employees would not be shifted before completion of one-year tenure at same post.
Punjab Cabinet discussing negative effects of early transfer of government servants stated that this while incurring extra expenses on exchequer also negatively effect their performance.
The meeting discussing law and order situation in the province prayed for the victims of Sialkot bomb blast and resolved that culprits involved in this heinous crime would not escape iron hands of law.
Punjab Chief Minister instructed the administration to hold an early meeting with Shia Ulema and apprise them of the developments of the bomb blast case.
Pervaiz, dilating on Nankana Saheb incident in the meeting averred that provincial government would fully hold on to its duties of providing security to minorities in the Province.
The meeting also discussed various measures for ensuring smooth supply of commodities in holy month of Ramazan.
It was disclosed that High Court has issued permission for vesting judicial powers to district officers for maintaining prices of essential commodities in the province.
The meeting also decided to take measures against sectarian speeches, wall chalking, use of loud speaker.
It also approved construction of new block of MPA Hostel on the occasion.
