Arrangements reviewed: inter-provincial information ministers moot on October 12

A meeting was held here on Tuesday to discuss arrangements for holding of the inter-provincial information ministers conference scheduled for the October 12 in Peshawar.
Chaired by NWFP Information Secretary Mohammad Afzal Khan, the meeting was attended by PID (Peshawar region) Director- General Ikramullah Jan, NWFP Information Director Abdul Baqi, Administration Deputy Secretary Abid Majeed, and other officers of the provincial information department.
Speaking on the occasion, Mohammad Afzal Khan desired that flawless arrangements should be made for the conference so that the stay of the participants in Peshawar could be made comfortable.
He said the forthcoming Inter-Provincial Information Ministers Conference would be a good occasion, and all efforts should be made to avail it so as to enhance inter-provincial harmony and the distinguished guests could feel warm hospitality of the Frontier province.
The conference to be chaired by Federal Information Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed will be attended by the information ministers and information secretaries from all the four provinces and AJK.
The conference will review the progress made in the first meeting held in Islamabad on May 21, 2004, and will chalk out further strategy for effective media campaign to promote Pakistan's national interests.
