Punjab Bar Council on Wednesday declared constitution of committee of Pakistan Bar Council as illegal and said that Pakistan Bar Council has no jurisdiction to interfere into matters of Punjab Bar and they will not appear before it.
Chairman, Executive Committee of the Punjab Bar Council, Pir Masood Chishti, former vice chairmen Arif Chaudhry and Ramzan Chaudhry addressing a press conference said that Pakistan Bar Council cannot proceed against the nominations of chairman executive committee and disciplinary committee of the Punjab Bar Council.
They stated that nominations were the decision of the general house of Punjab Bar Council.
Ramzan Chaudhry said that if interference of Pakistan Bar Council continued then funds for it would be stopped by the Punjab bar.
