Quake hits Northern Areas

An earthquake registering 4.9 on the Richter scale hit districts of Batgram, Kohistan and Mansehra on Wednesday morning.
According to preliminary analysis of Meteorological Station Peshawar, the earthquake originated at 1025 hours and its epicenter lied about 300 kilometers north of Peshawar in Hindukush range Afghanistan.
However, there were no immediate reports of any damage or casualties from any remote areas.
