Provincial law enforcement agencies have tightened security arrangements around sensitive places throughout the province after the terrorists attack on a procession in Multan which claimed more than 40 lives and hundreds injured on Thursday.
Sindh Home Minister Rauf Siddiqi has condemned the bomb blast in Multan and termed it as an act to create differences between the different sects of Islam.
He said that it was an open act of aggression, terrorism that had calmed the lives of more than 40 people.
Siddiqi said that soon after receiving the news of incident in Multan he had ordered the police and other law enforcement agencies to tighten security around in Karachi and other cities as the act could be repeated any where any time.
In the light of his directions there would be enhanced patrolling and checking of vehicles. There would be checking of suspicious people found roaming religious places, market areas and other public places.
In the meantime, religious leaders of all sects have condemned the bomb explosion in Multan allegedly by suicide bomber.
