Homeopathic department to be opened at NIH

Minister of State for Health Shahnaz Sheikh has said that a homeopathic department will be opened in the National Institute of Health (NIH) for provision of qualitative homeopathic medicines.
She was addressing the seventh convocation of Capital Homeopathic Medical College here on Friday.
Dr Nasir Ahmed Chaudhry, President, National Council of Homeopathy and Capital Homeopathic Medical College Principal Aslam Chaudhry were present on the occasion.
Shahnaz presented degrees to homeopathic doctors of Session 2002-03 and encouraged young doctors to start their bright career in the field of homeopathy with dedication. Later, the principal of the college presented a shield to her.
She said that the government would provide land to the Capital Homeopathic Medical College.
She recommended that National Homeopathic Council should check unqualified doctors to save the lives of innocent people. She advised the homeopathic doctors not to use steroids.
Shahnaz appreciated the services of homeopathic doctors and advised them to open their medical clinics in rural areas to provide low-cost medical treatment.
Nasir Ahmed said that 86,000 registered doctors are serving the country and 2,000 qualified doctors from Capital Homeopathic Medical College are providing treatment to patients.
