The 11th private sector meeting for the promotion of trade and joint venture investment among Islamic countries will be held in Manama, Bahrain, from February 5 to 7 next year.
The meeting is being organised jointly by the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) and Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI).
The purpose of the meeting is to promote and attract investment and technology transfer through collaboration in joint venture industrial investments.
The ICCI has invited the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) to participate in this meeting and, at the same time, encourage its members also to attend the meeting.
The local project sponsors of viable industrial investment, interested to establish joint ventures, are encouraged to submit their projects on the prescribed project profile form of the ICCI for presentation and negotiation at the meeting with investors, co-operating partners and Islamic financial institutions, including Islamic Development Bank (IDB) and the Islamic Corporation for the Development (ICD) of the private sector for possible realisation.
The portfolio of projects identified would be disseminated among potential investors in the member countries of the Organisation of Islamic Conference (OIC), prior to the meeting to evince their interest in the projects.
The ICCI looks forward to a maximum participation of businessmen and private sector representatives in the meeting.
