Role of SECP

09 Oct, 2004

The Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) is responsible for resolving the problems of the investors, but instead of this, it is backing up all the illegal activities of the companies by favouring them through unjust decisions against the complainants.
The inexperienced and young generation has been hired by the SECP on high salaries. When a complaint is filed with the SECP, they send the copy of the complaint to the concerned company and ask them to comment on the complaint. The companies send wrongly-structured replies to the SECP, and the SECP admit their reply and close the file of the complaint without taking any appropriate action and personal hearing.
This practice is very disappointing for the investors.
The SECP is requested to take appropriate action against the illegal activities of the companies and allow personal hearing in all the genuine complaints, instead of honouring the lies of the companies.
