Alliance for Restoration of Democracy (ARD) has decided not to invite Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) in its round table conference being held here on October 11.
This was announced by Central Secretary General of the alliance, Iqbal Zaffar Jhagra while talking to newsmen here on Saturday.
Jhagra maintained that ARD was not bound by any restriction on rallies, as enforced by the present regime, and would announce its three-month agitation schedule after Eid-ul-Fitr. A number of public meetings would be held during this agitation drive, he added.
He disclosed that inclusive of 23 parties in ARD fold, Pakhtoon Khawa Milli Party, Balochistan National Party (Mengal), National Party of Balochistan, Tehrik-e-Insaf, JUP-Nifaz-e-Shariaat, Majlis-e-Ahrar-e-Pakistan, Awami National Party, Tehrik-e-Ittehad, Pakistan Human Rights Commission, Khaksar Tehrik, Jamiat-e-Ahle Hadith, Mazdoor Kissan Party, JUI-Samiul Haq, PFUJ, Lahore High Court Bar Association, Supreme Court Bar Association, Pakistan Bar Council, Punjab Bar Council are also invited in RTC.
Jhagra stated that ARD would not compromise on its struggle against 17th amendment.
