Speaker National Assembly Chaudhry Amir Hussain strongly condemned the terrorist activities held in Sialkot, Multan and Karachi and termed inhuman act against the mankind.
He said that culprits would be brought to the book at all cost and government would deal with the menace of terrorism with iron hand.
Talking to reporters at Combined Military Hospital (CMH) here on Sunday he added that government had adopted an effective policy for eliminating the terrorism and to unearth the hidden hands involved in the conspiracy of terrorist activities.
The speaker National Assembly said that Wana and Waziristan operation was being carried out for hunting the terrorists and their hideouts for protecting the country from the menace of terrorism.
About the pace of investigation of Sialkot blast he said that sketches of the suspected persons involved in Zainabia mosque bomb blast have been prepared which definitely help accelerate the tempo of investigation. The speaker National Assembly was confidant that police would find out the clue of culprits with the help of sketches.
Chaudhry Amir Hussain appealed to the people that they should forge complete unity among the ranks for foiling the evil designs of anti-state, anti-Islamic and self-seekers and for the larger national interest. Such elements were trying to sabotage the peace, development process and sectarian harmony under a planned conspiracy, he said.
He was of the opinion that it is a high time that collective efforts would be made for coping with the menace of terrorism and for the all round development of the country.
The speaker said that Sialkot is not only the hub of cottage industries but also the nucleus of unity, brotherhood and sectarian harmony in the country where people belonging to all sects were living like brothers and friends. Besides, the business community of export-oriented city is rendering highly laudable services for earning huge foreign exchange for the country as well as fulfilling its social responsibilities, he said.
The speaker National Assembly also appreciated the courage and unity, which was demonstrated by the citizens during Zainabia mosque bomb blast incident and proved that they are united.
Earlier, the speaker National Assembly Chaudhry Amir Hussain along with district co-ordination officer Syed Tahir Raza Naqvi and other officers went round of surgical ward and ask the welfare of injured persons and pray for their early recovery.
Later, the speaker National Assembly visited Zainabia mosque and offered fateha for the departed souls and express full solidarity with the bereaved families.
