Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz on Monday appreciating the joint venture projects said with the growing economy in Pakistan, there was great potential for foreign investment.
Talking to a delegation of Progas Pakistan Limited led by Abbas Bilgrami here at Prime Minister House, Shaukat said Pakistan has been providing a level playing field to foreign investors.
The Progas, a joint venture of Malaysia and UK, is making an investment of $ 40 million for supply of LPG in Pakistan. The company through its 400 distributors in Pakistan would market one million LPG cylinders to the general consumers every year.
Shaukat Aziz said the energy demand is increasing with the growing market needs and the government would welcome investment in energy sector. The government would want prices of LPG to remain within limits, he added.
