Four people died and eight were injured in a stadium crush after Togo's World Cup qualifier against Mali, a government statement said on Monday.
The incident brings to seven the number of people killed at African stadiums on Sunday. Three fans were trampled to death in Guinea's capital Conakry as they sought to buy tickets for the qualifier against Morocco.
A special cabinet meeting was held on Monday and President Gnassingbe Eyadema cancelled a planned trip to Niger, officials said.
