The Sri Lanka rupee weakened on Monday as high importer demand for dollars to pay trade bills put pressure on the exchange rate, dealers said.
The rupee closed at 103.69 against the dollar, inching closer to its life closing low of 103.98 hit in August. The rupee has fallen more than 6 percent so far this year.
Call money rates were steady at a range of 8.0 percent to 8.25 percent.
