Sector I-14 development: encroachment to be removed

13 Oct, 2004

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has planned to vacate nearly 2100 acres of land in Sheikh Pur village from encroacher for the development of new Sector I-14, Business Recorder reliably learnt on Tuesday.
Sources also revealed that the CDA land and rehabilitation directorate is reviewing its existing policy of double compensation like allotment of plots and cash payment to owners of that land in I-14, 1-15 and I-16 sectors.
Aforementioned land is being acquired for the development of greenbelt of the sector, sources added.
Now the CDA will give compensation to any victim in lieu of his Built up Property (BuP) and not against the land, sources said.
Sector I-14 development will obviously pave way for other I-15 and I-16 sectors.
