The lawyer's community observed partial strike here on Wednesday in protest against the arrest of members of Nankana Bar Association (NBA).
The Punjab Bar Council (PBC) had given strike call, to exert pressure on the government, to release the bar members.
To express solidarity with the members of NBA, lawyers did not appear before the courts after 10.30 am. Most of the bar members remained available in the bar rooms and discussed the issue.
The bar members were of the view that the government is bent upon to divide the bar members to damage their struggle against President Pervez Musharraf. They vowed that bar members would continue their struggle till the restoration of real democracy in the country.
