PIA saves life of female passenger

Pakistan International Airlines saved the life of a female passenger who was going from Islamabad to New York on flight PK-721 after she suffered a heart attack onboard.
The flight had left Karachi for Islamabad from where it took off at 3:40 am for Manchester and onward journey to New York. Mrs Khalida Begum, who was travelling with a family of five suffered a heart attack around 8 am.
Out of sheer human sympathy, the pilot diverted the flight to Moscow, which was the nearest station and informed the air controller about the condition of woman. The flight was allowed to land at Moscow airport.
The PIA staff managed the immigration formalities for the ailing woman and the Moscow authorities allowed her admission to the hospital. One of his sons was also allowed to stay with the mother.
Later the flight left for Manchester and on to New York with rest of the family members of Khalida Begum onboard. The condition of Khalida at Moscow hospital was stated as stable.
