'Government attaches top priority to security'

The present government has attached top most priority to ensure security system for safety of life and property of the people and promoting better climate for foreign and domestic investment in Balochistan.
Addressing 54th passing out parade at the Police Training College here on Tuesday, Balochistan Governor Owais Ahmed Ghani said police reforms had been introduced to modernise security system with very well equipped and professionally sound manpower. Governor advised police officers and jawans to make best use of their training and apply acquired knowledge to ensure peace and security of peaceful citizens by fighting out the twin menace of subversion and terrorism.
Governor said the government was providing best available equipment for the police force and most modern training facilities for them to meet the menace to the best of their calibre and capacity.
The process of merging levies with the police in Balochistan was in progress to beef up security of rural and urban areas of the province on equal footing, he added.
