At least seven persons including a bus driver were killed and another 14 injured when a speedy bus rammed into a motor-cycle rickshaw carrying 12 passengers and coming from an annual festival/Urs of Hazrat Mehr Siyal in Shorkot some 65 miles north-east of Multan on Thursday.
According to details, a Multan bound bus of Shalimar company No KS-22 coming from Sargodha rammed into a motor cycle rickshaw later it hit a roadside tree resultantly bus driver died on the spot while six passengers of motorcycle rickshaw also died. Five of them died at site and another succumbed to wounds in hospital.
Total 14 passengers of bus and rickshaw sustained injuries. Four of them including Nazir Ahmed, Irshad Hussain, Omar Draz were in precarious condition and they were hospitalised in Nishtar Hospital Multan.
