Jadoon attends Abu Dhabi moot: investors apprised of opportunities existing in oil and gas sector

Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources, Amanullah Khan Jadoon has said that Pakistan is an ideal place for foreign investment in oil and gas sector.
He expressed these views while talking to various delegations of businessmen and investors at the 11th Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Conference and Exhibition, says news released here on Thursday.
Jadoon made it clear to the investors that Pakistan provides an attractive package of incentives in an investor friendly climate.
The Minister said that vast opportunities existed for the investors to participate in ongoing and upcoming exploration activities in Pakistan oil and gas sector.
Highlighting the areas of investment, he said, the activities such as updating and up-gradation of refineries, setting up of coastal refinery, gas infrastructure development, offshore and onshore exploration, regional gas pipeline projects and privatisation of public sector oil and gas units have lot of attraction for investors.
Federal Minister assured that the government would provide all-out co-operation to the investors in this regard.
Jadoon said the government was making concerted efforts for speedy development of the oil and gas sector on modern lines, adding that during the last 5 years, country's oil and gas sector grew speedily attracting over $1.0 billion investment.
The Minister invited the foreign investors and businessmen to visit Pakistan to acquaint themselves of the opportunities and potential existing in the oil and gas sector.-PR
