International Kashmir conference to be held in UK

An International Kashmir Conference will soon be held in United Kingdom to discuss and highlight the importance of early peaceful settlement of the Indian occupied Kashmir problem for establishing lasting peace in South Asia.
Talking to APP here on Sunday this was stated by the visiting Chairman of the Britain-based All Parties Kashmir Freedom Council Raja Nijabat Hussain.
He said the proposed conference, to be held under the auspices of his organisation, will be attended by the Kashmiri leaders and members of the British and European Parliament.
He said at least 200 members of the British Parliaments have declared their fullest support to Kashmiris birth right of self-determination in various international conferences seminars and meetings managed in the recent past by the Kashmiri expatriates organisations in Britain and other European Countries.
The conference will be one of the most important global moot on Indian occupied Kashmir to apprise the world of the gravity of the current situation in the subcontinent following the existence of the Unresolved global issue of Indian occupied Kashmir and the importance of its earliest resolution according to the aspirations of the Kashmiris, prime party to the dispute, he added.
Nijabat, who is also the political co-ordinator to the AJK Prime Minister in United Kingdom, said the unequivocal support by the British and European Parliamentarians came into existence as a result of the record drive to highlight the Indian occupied Kashmir issue on the international forum during the present regime.
He said that Indian occupied Kashmir issue has emerged at global front in its true perspective now.
Nijabat said that India would have to resolve the Indian occupied Kashmir issue according to the aspirations of the Kashmiri people since the global pressure on India for early peaceful settlement of the Indian occupied Kashmir dispute was increasing day by day, he added.
He said that "Friends of Kashmir group" comprising the MPs in British and European Parliamentarians were supporting Kashmiris right of self-determination as a result of the extensive efforts and struggle by the overseas Kashmiris inhibiting in the western world.
He said that with the passage of time the support to Kashmiris struggle for right of self-determination was increasing steadfastly in the European countries.
Nijabat said that Indian occupied Kashmir issue will be raised in an effective manner in the fringe meetings on the occasion of the upcoming annual central conferences of three major political parties of United Kingdom, including the ruling Labour Party.
Conservator Party and the Liberal Democrat Party. He said that these conference will be attended by the British foreign ministers and other ministers of the British government, members of the British and European Parliaments and the delegates.
He said that the Kashmiri expatriates have raised the Indian occupied Kashmir issue on international front in most effective manner on self-help basis, which is unprecedented.
He said that the Kashmiri immigrants would continue their untiring efforts till the achievement of the right of self-determination of the occupied Jammu and Kashmir people.
Nijabat paid rich tributes to the President of Pakistan General Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz for adopting bold and courageous stand on the Indian occupied Kashmir problem both at national and international fronts.
Fully supporting the gigantic Mangla Dam raising project, the overseas Kashmiri leader said that all decisions of the Prime Minister Sikander Hayat's regime relating to the Mangla Dam raising project as well as the freedom struggle of Indian occupied Kashmir enjoyed fullest support and confidence by the Kashmiri expatriates in Britain and other European countries.
He said that the sitting Muslim Conference regime of Premier Sikander enjoyed full support and confidence of the hundreds of thousands of overseas Kashmiris living in various parts of the world especially UK.
He said that security and stability of Pakistan is the basic part of the faith of the Kashmiris including those settled abroad. He said that the overseas Kashmiris would continue giving all sorts of sacrifices for the progress and prosperity of Pakistan.
