Despite statements that government is taking steps in advance of Ramazan in order to keep in check wheat prices twice gained, the inferior rose by Rs 20 to Rs 1200, and better rose by same amount to Rs 1205, til Sindh lost Rs 50 to RS 1750 and Rs 1800, sugar inferior up Rs 10 to Rs 1950 and better quoted higher at Rs 1970, gur inferior gained Rs 50 to Rs 1500, til quoted last at Rs 1650 and Rs 1725, makai up Rs 5 to Rs 850 and Rs 875, Irri white was higher by Rs 50, rapeseed Nawabshah quoted at Rs 800, cotton cakes quoted at Rs 405.
JUTE GOODS WERE MIXED: 20x3 Bawani brown up Re 1 to Rs 30, 16x3 CRT/Indus up Re to Rs 31, 40x3 Bawany Brown up 50 paisa to Rs 28, Hessian Cloth 45x9 down Rs 30 to Rs 1400 and 45x8 United up Rs 25 to Rs 1125.

On Friday grain report was masoor Iran quoted higher at Rs 2200, and Rs 2300, masoor dal quoted at Rs 3200 and Rs 3300, Urad Burma up Rs 80 to Rs 830, and Rs 835, wheat register higher at Rs 1223.
