Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz on Friday presided over a meeting of Ministry of Industries and Production to discuss development of industrial parks in the country. The Prime Minister agreed to a proposal of the Industry Ministry for creating a new industrial park at Karachi and Gwadar spreading over 5000 acres of land.
The park would be completed with public private-partnership and it would be replica of "Sunder" model being completed in Punjab.
The financial allocation for creation of new parks was also discussed. An amount of Rs 150 million has been arranged while National Bank would provide Rs 5 billion in loans for the project.
Minister for Industries and Production, Jehangir Tareen and other high officials attended the meeting.
