The Capital City Police chief, DIG Tariq Saleem, distributed cheques of Rs 100,000 each to 11 widows from the district police welfare fund, which was established for the welfare of policemen especially for widows.
Those, who received cheques are Shimala, widow of Zafar, Zubaida widow of Mohammad Siddique, Naikan Bibi widow of Naseer Ahmad, Hamidan Bibi widow of Mohammad Ashiq, Akhtari Begum widow of Riaz Ahmad, Gulzar Bibi widow of Yaqoob Masih, Zubaida Khanum widow of Nasrullah, Nazarah Begum mother of Samiullah Khan, Kausar Bibi widow of Mohammad Yasin, Shahnaz Bibi widow of Mukhtar Ahmad, and Adeeba Khanum widow of Javed Iqbal.
