Grain exports from the French port of Rouen totalled 318,972 tonnes from October 1 to 20, comprising 277,386 tonnes of wheat and 41,586 tonnes of barley, port officials said on Tuesday.
That compared with exports of 419,000 tonnes in the whole of October last year, comprising 388,000 tonnes of wheat and 31,000 tonnes of barley.
Officials said four vessels were in the port on Tuesday, loading 90,000 tonnes of wheat for Algeria, Italy and West Africa.
Another vessel was expected soon to load 35,000 tonnes of wheat for unspecified destinations.
