Sindh chief minister opens Urs of Sachal Sarmast

Sindh Chief Minister, Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim on Friday inaugurated 183rd Urs of Hazrat Sachal Sarmast by laying floral wreath on the Mazar of the Sufi saint at Daraza Sharif, district Khairpur, and offered Fateha.
He also attended Mahfil-e-Sama where Faqirs of Sachal Sarmast presented poetry of Sachal in a traditional manner.
Speaking on the occasion the Chief Minister said that Sufi saints have always spread the message of love, peace, tolerance and brotherhood.
He announced Rs 2 million for necessary repair works of dargah Sachal Sarmast and directed the Auqaf Department to devise an effective strategy so that all the Dargahs of Sufi saints in Sindh be improved in proper manner.
The Chief Minister was accompanied by the provincial minister for Auqaf and Religious Affairs, Manzoor Ali Khan Panhwar, Advisor to Sindh Chief Minister on Health, Faisal Malik and other concerned officials.
The Chief Minister and other guests were presented traditional gift of locally made 'Khes' and sets of publications brought out on the occasion of the annual Urs celebrations of Hazrat Sachal Sarmast.
Sindh Chief Minister said he wanted of the administration result oriented efforts to minimise the problems of the people. In this regard, he complimented Medical Superintendent Taluka Medical Hospital Gambat, Dr Bhatti, for establishing a model hospital, which he observed, he had not even seen in Karachi.
This was a great contribution for the people of Khairpur district as well as other regions of interior Sindh, he said.
He also praised the standard of Institute of Business Administration (IBA) Sukkur and promised to release a grant of Rs 50 million, which was announced by his predecessor Sardar Ali Mohammad Mahar.
CM remarked that the government of Sindh was making maximum efforts in the health and education sectors so as to bring the province at par with other provinces.
He said, he had inducted two dedicated police officers of integrity, Additional IG Police Sukkur Region, Tariq Salim Lone and Mazhar Shaikh, DIG Police Hyderabad, and hoped that in the backdrop of their proven track record, they would be able to bring expected results in the law and order situation of Sukkur and Hyderabad regions.
The press conference was also attended by Provincial Minister Manzoor Khan Panhwar, Zila Nazim Sukkur Syed Nasir Hussain Shah and other senior officials.
