Saudi embassy in Kuwait evacuated over threat

Kuwaiti police were called to the Saudi embassy in Kuwait City on Saturday after embassy staff reported a suspicious package, but the ambassador said later it contained only audio cassettes and CDs.
Ambassador Ahmad Yahya said the seaside compound was not evacuated, although he confirmed police had been called in after the embassy's scanner was unable to identify the contents of a package.
"It seems like the parcel was packed really well, so as a usual and precautionary step, Kuwaiti security was contacted," he told Dubai-based Al-Arabiya television.
