Coconut oil shipments from the Philippines, the world's largest shipper, fell by as much as 35 percent in October due to delays in the arrival of some ships, an industry group and the government said on Friday.
Daniel Coronation, administrator of state agency Philippine Coconut Authority, said preliminary figures show coconut oil shipments in October dropped about 31 percent to 74,464 tonnes from 107,907 tonnes in the same period last year.
He said exports in October were also down from the 104,275 tonnes shipped in September.
