No incident of desecration took place at Peshawar dry port

The Customs Intelligence & Investigation, Peshawar, has clarified that the Germany-bound consignment had contained only story books and there were no religious books as such there was no incident of desecration at the dry port here.
A press note issued here by the Directorate of Customs Intelligence & Investigation said that after checking the Germany-bound consignment of dry fruit and story books a meeting was held between the officers of the Directorate Regional Office Peshawar and All Pakistan Commercial Exporters Association (Apcea) which was attended by Additional Director, Customs Intelligence & Investigation, Jehanzeb Mahmood, Deputy Director Sadiqullah Khan, Chairman Apcea Muhammad Asif Khan, vice chairman Rashid Qadeer Mir, Khalid Sultan Khwaja, Mamoor Khan, Dost Muhammad Khan and Pervez Elahi Malik.
During the meeting the members of Apcea agreed that in future all legal requirements shall be completed and that necessary co-operation shall be extended to the law enforcement agencies in carrying out their legitimate official functions.
The meeting while appreciating the role of Apcea in promotion of export and contribution to the national economy acknowledged that the Customs Intelligence played a positive role in curbing the likelihood of any serious irregularities in such matters.
The meeting ended with a positive note of thanks to the officers of Customs Intelligence & Investigation and chairman Apcea Muhammad Asif Khan.
