The NWFP's first Internet Radio Station is being launched soon and people all over the world would have access to information about the culture, steps of the government being taken for the development of the people of this province etc.
For establishing this online radio station, discussions were in final stages with peshawar1.com and a formal decision in this regard would be made soon.
The announcement to this effect was made by NWFP Minister for Science and Information Technology Hussain Ahmad Kanju in a meeting held at Peshawar. The meeting was also attended by M. Atif, Director peshawar1.com and Secretary Science and Information Technology Amjad Shahid Afridi.
Hussain Ahmad Kanju said that after launching this online radio station, the people would have access to NWFP governor, chief minister, ministers and heads of various departments on Internet and they would answer their questions.
Secretary ST&IT Amjad Afridi on this occasion said that peshawar1.com was successfully running a web site in the province and hoped that this online radio station under peshawar1.com would better serve the masses of the province by providing fresh and up to date information.
He said that people online would be able to talk in three languages that are Urdu, Pashto and Hindko on the Internet radio station and they would be able to listen live news and discussions. He further said that higher authorities would answer questions of the people directly asked on the online radio station.
