Punjab Governor Khalid Maqbool has said that at present Pakistan is progressing in each and every field and the government has developed a large number of projects for prosperity of the people. Continuation the projects of public welfare was only possible with political stability in the country.
The people should discourage those elements who create chaos and anarchy in the name of democracy.
Addressing people on the occasion of providing Sui gas in Millat Town, its surrounding villages, Chak No 117JB Dhanoula, Chak No 196RB Gokhowal and Lyallpur Colony on Wednesday, the Governor said that the present Government had provided Sui gas at Mandi Bahauddin, Mianwali, Kasur and Khushab while this facility had also been provided to many towns.
Thousands of villages had got the facility of electricity, while telephone connections are available within 24 hours.
The District Government System had been strengthened and durable steps have been taken for the promotion of agriculture and livestock sectors throughout the country and the elected public representatives are playing their role in national affairs through assemblies.
The Governor said that an amount of Rs 46 million had been spent for the provision of Sui gas in Millat Town and its adjoining localities, of which 7500 domestic and 20 industrial connections would be provided.
The task of carrying the gas to the houses through distribution network would be completed till June 30, 2005. During this period the areas where the pipe line had been laid would at once get the Sui gas.
The Governor also announced to link Millat road Faisalabad to the motorway through an inter-change. He also announced to give the status of high school to the middle school of Chak No 117 JB.
District Nazim Chaudhry Zahid Nazir, Tehsil Nazim (Sadar) Chaudhry Muhammad Afzal and President Millat Town Industrial Estate Association, Naeemul Haq also expressed their views on this occasion.
