Sweden will sponsor Pakistan in establishing a world class engineering university and a technicians training institute. This would be a further step of co-operation between Pakistan and Sweden in promoting higher education sector, said Chairman Higher Education Commission (HEC) Dr Atta-ur-Rehman.
Dr Atta-ur-Rehman who is currently visiting Sweden, disclosed this while talking to media men on Wednesday.
The Chairman HEC further said his visit was aimed at seeking mutual assistance from the government of Sweden which was one of the most developed countries of the world as for as the higher education sector was concerned.
He said the land and infrastructure for establishment of engineering and technology university and a most sophisticated technicians training institute would be provided by Pakistan whereas Swedish government would contribute through provision of the equipment, laboratories, faculty training and other accessories.
