Afghan envoy calls on Sherpao

Afghanistan Ambassador Dr Nanguyalai Tarn on Wednesday called on Minister for Interior Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao and discussed with him matters of mutual interests. The Ambassador thanked the Minister for the way the government of Pakistan was looking after the Afghan refugees.
He requested in case any Afghan national was involved in any undesirable activity the Ministry might inform the Afghan Embassy and they would be more than willing to help and co-operate.
The Minister informed some people living in refugee camps were at times involved in undesirable activities and the Afghan Embassy would be informed as and when the need arose.
The Minister further informed around 238 Afghan were released recently out of which 160 had already gone back to Afghanistan.
The Afghan envoy thanked for that gesture and requested a focal point in the Ministry of Interior be indicated to liaise with.
Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao also thanked the visiting envoy for the release of Pakistanis from Afghan jails.
The Afghan envoy thanked the Minister for Interior also for security arrangements to facilitate Afghan refugees in the recent Afghan Presidential Election.
