Pakistan High Commissioner to Britain Dr Maleeha Lodhi hosted a farewell Iftar-cum-dinner for the outgoing Minister Press Javed Akhtar at Pakistan High Commission here late Wednesday. In her brief remarks on the occasion, she praised Javed Akhtar for his work during his stay at the High Commission and wished him good luck in his future assignment.
The High Commission will continue the good work, he started. He understood how the media worked both in Britain and Pakistan and would be missed by the High Commission, she added. The envoy presented him a small gift on the occasion.
