Sheikh Zayed's services eulogised

The centres of learning set up by Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al-Nahyan have grown into big institutions dispensing education to thousand of students. Chairman, Board of Governors of the University of Health Sciences (UHS) Professor Mahmood Ahmad Chaudhry said this at a condolence meeting over the sad demise of Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al-Nahyan, President UAE.
UHS vice-chancellor Professor Malik Hussain Mubbashar Registrar Dr Muhammad Zafar Iqbal and other staff members were also present on the occasion.
He paid tributes to Sheikh Zayed for his contributions to the country's health and education sectors. Sheikh Zayed was a sincere friend of Pakistan who took great interest in its economic and social welfare development, he added.
Sheikh Zayed also set up charitable institutions for the poor in a number of cities and also set up hospitals from where the people were benefiting, he maintained.
The late Sheikh also played a vital role to strengthen relations between Pakistan and UAE and his services to the Muslims and welfare projects across the globe would long be remembered, he added.
