Capital police arrest dacoit

Capital Police arrested a dacoit here on Thursday, who broke into Capital Steel Mill, and recovered 30 bore pistol, a dagger, two bottle petrol and one small bomb from his possession. According to details, I-9 police got information a former employee Ashfaq Aadil had entered the capital steel mill early in the morning with arms and had locked the entire office from inner side.
Additional SP Islamabad Mehboob Aslam, ASP I-9 circle Muhammad Ishfaq Ahmed and SHO I-9 Musarrat Ali Khan with heavy police contingent immediately rushed to the spot and cordoned of the entire building.
While seeing the police culprit threatened to blow the entire. In the meantime, ASI Sohail Ahmed and head constable Rabiullah had entered the room from the window at the back. When they entered the room, the fired on them but police succeeded in capturing him safely with entire explosive materials.
SSP Islamabad Liaqat Ali Khan appreciated the performance of police and head constable Rabiullah was recommended promotion to ASI and SHO Musarat Ali Khan and ASI Sohail Ahmed were recommended for certificates and cash prizes of Rs 1000 each.
Drug pusher arrested with seven kg charas: A drug-pusher was arrested in possession of seven kilogram charas from Jhugi Syedan in Tarnol police station jurisdiction, the police said here on Thursday.
Khurram Hafeez was stopped by the police during routine patrolling and was arrested in possession of drug. Further investigation were underway from him, APP reported.
