I have seen a letter that appeared in your newspaper about the State Bank Circular No 32. I have a small plot and wanted to start an industry. For a loan from the bank I submitted the original documents of my open plot.
However a loan was sanctioned but held up by the bank due to Circular No 32. I am surprised to note that the Circular No 32 says that the bank will not allow loans to purchase land. I wanted to deposit as security my open land for some industrial unit.
I am unable to understand why the State Bank of Pakistan has deprived us of this facility of loan against an open plot/land. I cannot start any business even if I have open land to give to the bank as security.
