NYBOT coffee futures closed in positive ground Friday for the fourth day in a row, thanks to fund buying on continued market worries about the quality of next year's crop in top grower Brazil, traders said. Most-active December arabica gained 0.40 cent to settle at 78.30 cents a pound on the New York Board of Trade, after trading from 78 to 79.20 cents.
March 2005 likewise rose 0.40 cent to 81.30 cents and distant futures also climbed 0.40 cent across the board.
