Israeli soldiers killed four Palestinian fighters travelling in a vehicle near the West Bank city of Jenin on Sunday, Palestinian security and medical sources said. The Israeli military had no immediate comment on the incident.
The Palestinian sources said an Israeli undercover unit fired at a jeep carrying four members of al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, a group in Palestinian President Yasser Arafat's Fatah faction, killing the men.
Jenin, a stronghold of Freedom fighters, has often been the target of Israeli raids in pursuit of wanted Palestinians.
