The Alexandria Cotton Exporters' Association (Alcotexa) said on Monday it had committed to sell 4,839 tonnes of cotton in the week ended November 6. An official said the association committed to sell 1,456 tonnes of Giza 70, 710 tonnes of Giza 88, 2,573 tonnes of Giza 86, 25 tonnes of Giza 80 and 75 tones of export type.
The new commitments bring Alcotexa's export commitments for the year starting August 14 to 21,887.5 tonnes of cotton worth $40.18 million, the Alcotexa official said.
