Government urged to provide housing facility to poor

14 Nov, 2004

The government must pay attention towards poor segment of society as gap between the rich and poor is widening with every passing day. These views were expressed by the Chairman All Pakistan Cottage Industry and Small Traders Association Ghulam Sarwar Malik in a statement issued on Saturday.
Malik said it was high time for the government to formulate new policies for providing housing facilities to the poor people who were attached with private sector. He said generally laws were framed for government employees while the people associated with private sector needed more government attention.
He said land prices had gone so high that no poor could think of buying or constructing his own house so government should come forward for the help of deprived section of society.
